Restroom ransom? Airline mulls toilet toll

I was laughing when I read this article – but you never know in these crazy times! Don’t spend your money on expensive bottled water at the airport, because you will be paying more for it later. You have to admit it’s hilarious. You are stuck on the plane, and there are no bushes around.

Paid public toilets are not new. They have existed for decades. I did not mind paying money in Russia to go to a nice, clean paid public bathrooms compared to free (but filthy) ones. But when you don’t have a choice – like when you’re aboard an aircraft – is it fair?

Ryanair’s chief executive said Europe’s largest budget carrier might start charging passengers for using the toilet while flying, but his spokesman cautioned Michael O’Leary often just made things up at will.
